It's been a while since I took the time to focus some energy on the outer part of myself. I'm always on the search for how to make my internal self better but over the last 2 months I had neglected my outer shell. My hair was a mess, I hadn't been going to the gym consistently, I was completely out of whack. I vowed that September would be the month I pampered myself a little.
I made myself a hair appointment. I went to the Patrick Evans Salon in San Francisco to get my hair cut and blown out. I took myself to get my nails and toes done. I started a new workout regimen, thanks to Fred, and we're only half way through the month. I have been focusing a lot of energy on giving my outer self a tune up. When you look good you feel good, after all.
I can't express how important it is to take care of your outside just as much as we take care of our inside. Especially as women. We focus a lot of our energy on trying to make sure everyone else is o.k. that sometimes we forget about ourselves. Don't do that. It's like they say on an airplane, put your oxygen mask first before you help anyone else put theirs on. After all, how can you help someone else be their best if you haven't taken the time to make sure you're your best self?
