R & R

I know it has been a while since I've posted but....I'm back. I was feeling very burned out on life. I hadn't had a day off from work since October, besides your typical 1 day for Christmas and New Years. My full time job was mentally exhausting me in my everyday life and therefore affecting my blog schedule. All I wanted to do in my free time was sleep.

With that being said, we planned a trip home. 5 days in Kentucky and 5 days in St. Louis. I was really missing my family, especially little Nadia. Although it wasn't Hawaii or Bahamas, there is nothing compared to being surrounded by family and friends to help yourself unwind. We came home for 4 days then went off to Vegas for a weekend. After two weeks of traveling I feel a new sense of ambition. Although tired (damn you Vegas), I am excited to get back into the swing of things and open some doors for myself.

I can't express how important it is to take time off, take a day or two here and there, work on things you're passionate about, enjoy alone time while everyone else is at work and just make sure you aren't burning yourself out. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health, make taking care of yourself a top priority.

Look forward to a lot more content on the blog and a transformation of the site this winter, as well as transition into a different type of content style this fall. I am so excited for what's to come and to take the time to better the blog and my content.
